"The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23. New International Version
This is one of my favorite verses in the Bible. As Christians, we are taught to love God above all else and to love our neighbor as ourselves. The Spirit is God's manifestation in this world throughout time.
In this current administration there are many individuals who claim to be Christian. If one is nominated and confirmed to be Secretary of Defense and claims to be Christian, why would you want your office to be labeled the Department of War?
If one is nominated and confirmed to be the Attorney General, why would you be so eager to prosecute individuals who your boss felt to be political enemies?
If one is elected to be president and claims to be Christian, why would you speak of so many in such derogatory terms? Even members of your own party and members of your current and prior administration?
If one is elected to be president and claims to be Christian, why would you have so many policies and actions that clearly cause more people to suffer and die- both in our country and the rest of the world?
I do believe that our country should have freedom of religion. I do think that is essential for democracy in this modern world.
I also believe that we need to acknowledge what is true and not "fake news" or "fake science".
Do you think that some members of the current administration have more faith in the religion of Trump than of the Christian faith?
