Effective leaders can help a society to be great or can be a significant stumbling block. Leadership does not mean threatening to destroy an entire civilization. Leadership does not mean being self-serving or self-focused. Great leadership cares about the entire society, not just helping a few to gather greater wealth. Great leadership recognizes the dangers that a society is facing and encourages all to participate to effectively deal with those dangers. Great leadership does not deny scientific realities. Great leadership does not focus on fraud in one state and then pardon someone who has committed more than a billion dollars of fraud in another state.

Leadership is shown by citizens who peacefully protest unlawful activities. It is shown by those who step up to help the less fortunate. It is shown by those who care about the fabric of society. Leadership is shown by those who are tolerant of those who believe in another religion, recognizing our common humanity. Leadership is shown by those who do not first look to see if a person is black, white, or a specific racial or ethnic background. Leadership is shown by each person who continues to perform their job with the background of national and international discord. Leadership is shown by each person who continues to perform their job under a chaotic leader.

Leadership is shown by those who realize that for each one’s family to be safe and experience peace, we need to have all families be safe and experience peace.

No leader is perfect. However when a leader shows that they are dangerous to the society that they claim to lead, it is time to pursue different leadership.
